A good number of my clients come to see me suffering from symptoms like inflammation, food sensitivities, constipation, bloating, ongoing acid reflux, gastritis or relentless abdominal pain and headaches. Some of them are surprised to learn that all of these usually have the same origin: THE GUT.
There is just no way around it: Your body can't feel good without a healthy gut, even your mood depends on it! So when the delicate balance between the different colonies of bacteria that live in the gut is broken due to the overgrowth of certain strains of bacteria, the body suffers from a chain reaction of effects that can really wreck havoc on your overall health.
Gut imbalances are the root of many health issues and chronic diseases, including autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, skin problems and heart disease.
In most cases, the bacteria that has overtaken the gut is Candida, a fungal yeast that is usually harmless at normal levels but that can really take over the healthy bacteria in the digestive tract under certain conditions.
Candida is not only the most common cause of fungal infections in humans, it is also
notoriously resistant to treatment because treating the symptoms is not enough, you also need to treat the underlying cause for the imbalance in order to effectively restore gut health.
Candidiasis might be difficult to diagnose because the variety of symptoms that point towards a fungal infection, such as constant digestive issues, chronic fatigue, brain fog, chronic conditions like eczema, overwhelming food cravings or mood swings. If you notice symptoms that are consistent with those of a Candida infection, you should contact a professional to receive a diagnosis and treatment.
The wide spread presence of Candidiasis and its effects on health, are the reasons why I created The Guide to a Candida Free Life, to inform about the effects of gut's imbalances, give orientation about symptoms, but specially to let you know that a solution is possible!
