What is Intermittent Fasting?

Intermittent Fasting is becoming more popular as a way of loosing weight and even for treating some health issues and detoxing.

First thing you should know is that Intermittent Fasting is NOT a diet!It is rather a pattern of eating that alternates periods of fasting and feeding. The focus is mainly on WHEN to eat.

The idea behind Intermittent Fasting is to take advantage of how our bodies have evolved to metabolize nutrients and cater to how we store energy

The benefits can vary from reduced blood pressure, increased fat metabolism, decreased inflammation and improved blood sugar, among many others.

The trick is to find the right variation for you! Variants allow for different times feeding windows, for example the Warrior Fast, that switches between a 20 hr fast and a 4 hr feeding period.

For all its benefits, it is key to seek professional advice to get the best out of Intermittent Fasting because you NOT ONLY have to take into account medical background, age, blood work, etc. but ALSO know which foods to eat during feeding periods, how to spot physical distress signals, how to ease up a maintenance phase, how much exercise to do, etc.

Do you wonder if Intermittent Fasting can work for you?
